Meet The Team

Ian, Founder and Managing Director of  Yorkshire Heritage Roofing has been working in the roofing industry for almost 18 years.  With his passion for detailed lead working and complex heritage roofing setting him apart from other roofers. His in-depth knowledge and experience of all roof types really sets him apart and his commitment to continued professional development for himself and his team means they are always continuing to learn new methods as well as perfecting the more traditional ways of roofing. His Prince of Wales Master Craftsmen honour was awarded to him by King Charles III.  

With over 30 years’ experience in the roofing industry Rob has a diverse knowledge on many different roofing applications including time spent as a built up felt roofer.  Rob joined the team looking to try his hand at more difficult and complex methods of roofing and over the last few years has developed the skills and knowledge to carry out any roofing task that he is presented with, and he takes a high level of pride in his work. Rob has also shown the skillset needed to supervise our jobs smoothly as well as have excellent customer service skills. Rob has just completed welding and bossing course in Kent (2024)

Being a qualified joiner with several years of roofing experience working with Burlington and Green Westmorland Slates, Jack is a huge asset to our company and has used his knowledge, gained in the Lake District, to integrate himself quickly to be able to overcome difficult and complex details only found when working with Heritage and Listed Buildings. Jack uses his joinery skills whenever issues arise to areas such as the roof structure or redesigning timber substrates for lead work. He has keen eye for detail and has become a competent leader and project manager of the team, gaining the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out high standards of lead work,  including welding. Jack has just completed welding and bossing course in Kent (2024)

George is our ex -Apprentice turned Qualified roofer. George joined the company as an apprentice and has gained his knowledge of roofing through onsite experience as well as his apprenticeship at Leeds College of Building where he successfully achieved his Level 2 Standard in Roof Slating and Tiling. George is  experienced in all aspects of the roofing we undertake. George has just completed welding and bossing course in Kent (2024)

Jake is our Trainee roofer and labourer He has been in the roofing industry for a time before joining YHR and is constantly ready to learn new things as well as help each member of the team. He has vastly improved his knowledge and skills set since joining being able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail and understanding of different roofing methods and applications. Jake has just completed welding and bossing course in Kent (2024)
